Kohli hooting by Australian viewers on the field, Ponting upheld wrong

Indian captain Virat Kohli was going to the field for batting on Saturday, on the third day of the first Test against Australia, when a group of Australian spectators in the stadium started shooting him. However, Ricky Ponting criticized this move.
After opener Lokesh Rahul’s dismissal, Kohli came for batting. Kohli had to face such a situation during the first innings. Kohli could score 34 runs in the second innings. India is looking at a strong position in the Adelaide Test. India has achieved a 166-run lead.

No control over hooting

Australian batsman Travis Head and former captain Ricky Ponting, however, criticized the conduct of the audience. Head said, “He is a fantastic batsman and probably is not a player who might be hooted. It was not needed, but they are viewers. ‘
When asked about Indian pacer Jaspreet Bumrah, he said that Indian team wants to ignore such things.
They said, ‘I do not think these things matter for us. What is happening inside the field for us is important. Apart from this, we have no control over anything else. They can do whatever they want. We are happy until we are playing well. ‘

Surprised on viewers’ attitude

Former Kangaroo captain Ponting also shocked the viewer’s attitude and said, “I did not feel good at seeing this. As a player when I was in England with this, I was not worried at all. ‘
With Kohli though this has not happened for the first time. During the 2011-12 tour of Australia, he had also faced hitting the audience during the Sydney Test. On this tour of England this year, he had to face such behavior of viewers in the first Test match at Edgbaston.
In India also, during an IPL match against Mumbai Indians in Mumbai, Indian viewers at the Wankhede Stadium had hooted the captain of the Royal Challenger Bangalore.
